Our office is tucked away in the Fort area, specifically at number 507. If you know Mumbai, you know Fort is always crowded and the buildings are old. We've been dealing in chemicals from this location for quite some time now. It’s a bit of a maze getting up to the office sometimes because of the stairs and the narrow hallways. We supply various industries with what they need for their manufacturing processes. It’s not glamorous work, mostly just checking batches and making sure the containers are handled right. We deal with a lot of regular buyers who have been coming to us for decades. The walls here could use a new coat of paint, but we are too busy with the ledgers and the physical orders. The smell of old paper and the city sounds outside are just part of the day. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth has always been enough for us. Sometimes the deliveries get stuck in the narrow lanes of South Mumbai, which is always a bit stressful to deal with. But that’s just how it goes when you work in an old commercial hub like this. We have a small team, and we all know our roles. It’s about getting the right grade of chemical to the right person at the right time. We don't have a website or anything like that, just our phone line and our reputation. We sit here and handle the bills while the fans overhead keep humming along as the day goes by.
