United Offset

United Offset is over in Building A-2, at Unit No 456. We are in the Shah Lower Parel area, specifically Lohar Chawl. If you are near the Peninsula Tower, we are quite close by and easy to find. Lower Parel has changed a lot over the years with all the new glass towers, but the Lohar Chawl area still feels like the old Mumbai we know. We do offset printing. Our unit is filled with the smell of ink and the sound of the printing machines running all day. It’s a bit cramped because the machines take up so much space in the room. We have stacks of paper everywhere you look. Some days the humidity makes the paper curl, which is a real pain for the feeders. We’ve been printing for a long time now. It’s a technical job but also a bit of an art to get the colors just right on the page. We don't have a fancy reception area or a coffee machine. If you come in, you’ll probably see us covered in a bit of ink. We work hard to meet deadlines, which often means staying late into the evening. The neighborhood is great for food, so we never go hungry when we work late. There’s always someone delivering tea in small glass cups from the corner shop. We like the energy of this place. It’s loud and busy, but it feels like real things are being made here. We are just a local shop doing our thing.
