You can find us at Omkar Apartments in Santacruz West. We are in apartment number 7 on the ground level. It is right opposite National Garage, which is a good landmark for people who haven't visited us before. Oshiwara can be a bit confusing with all the small lanes and buildings, but we are easy enough to spot. We do engineering work, which basically means a lot of technical measuring and looking at machines. The office isn't very big, and we have parts and tools scattered around the corners. It’s more of a workspace than a showroom. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or trying to figure out why a piece of equipment isn't working right. Santacruz is a nice area, but the parking is a nightmare. Most of us just take the train or a rickshaw. We've got a small team here at United Engineers. Sometimes we stay late when a job is urgent, and the lights in the apartment stay on long after the neighbors have gone to bed. It’s not a glamorous life, just a lot of math and oily hands. We have an old computer that we use for the accounts, and it takes forever to start up. We don't mind much, as long as the work gets finished. It’s just a local engineering shop trying to get through the daily list of tasks. We keep a stack of old newspapers in the corner for when we need to wrap things up.
