Our office is on the 4th floor of Lotus House, over at 33-A V. Thackersey Marg. It’s right in the New Marine Lines area of Mumbai, which is a bit of an older, more dignified part of the city. We’ve been operating Uniser Chem. Industries from this building for quite some time. The office itself is number 414. It’s a classic Mumbai office building with those old elevators and high ceilings. We work in the chemical industry, which means a lot of our time is spent looking at lab reports, compliance papers, and shipping schedules. It’s not the most exciting work to talk about at a party, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We don't have any flashy signs or big corporate logos everywhere. We just have our desks, our files, and a small team that knows the business inside out. Being near Marine Lines is nice because you can sometimes catch a breeze from the ocean, even if the traffic below is constant. We mostly deal with other businesses, so we don't get a lot of walk-in traffic. Most of our day is spent on the phone or responding to emails. We try to be direct and honest with everyone we deal with. It’s a steady business, and we’ve worked hard to keep it going through all the ups and downs of the market over the years.
