Unique Goods Carriers operates out of Sakinaka, specifically in the Krishna Nagar area. If you’ve ever been to Sakinaka, you know how the traffic and the crowds can be. It’s a constant hum of engines and people moving everywhere. Our spot in Krishna Nagar is right in the thick of it. We don't have a polished showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just a place where we coordinate the trucks and handle the paperwork for the loads. There is always a smell of diesel and dust in the air, which is just part of the job when you’re in the transport business in this part of town. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to drivers who are coming in from long shifts. The office is small and usually has stacks of logs and delivery slips all over the place. We have a couple of old fans that struggle against the heat, but they get the job done. It’s a very grounded way to work. We don't use big words or have long strategy sessions. We just focus on getting the goods from one point to another without too much trouble. Sometimes the rain makes the roads in Krishna Nagar a mess, and that’s when things get really stressful, but we just push through it. It’s an honest living in a very busy, noisy part of Mumbai. We've been here long enough that the chaos of Sakinaka just feels like the normal backdrop to our day.
