Uma Roadways Corporation

Our place is at 88/89 Surat Street inside Surat Sadan. Uma Roadways Corporation has been operating from this spot for quite some time now. It’s a typical old building with narrow hallways and a lot of history. We spend the day tracking shipments and talking to people about where their stuff is. The desks are usually covered in manifests and old receipts. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is. Surat Street is always full of activity, with trucks coming and going at all hours. We get used to the noise of the engines and the shouting of the loaders. It’s a gritty kind of job. We don’t wear suits or have fancy meetings. Usually, we are just sitting around in our shirtsleeves trying to solve a problem with a route or a driver. Sometimes the monsoon makes everything difficult, but we just keep pushing through. We have a few regulars who have been using us for years. They know where to find us in Surat Sadan. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but it’s what we know. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just moving things along the road like everyone else in this trade. We just keep the wheels turning and hope for clear roads. It is a simple enough life and we keep our heads down and work.
