If you’re looking for us, we’re at 3/302 R K Nagar in the Sher-E-Punjab area of Andheri East, Mumbai. It’s a busy part of the city, but then again, which part isn't? We operate our Ultratech Cement Ltd business from here. The office is right in the middle of a lot of residential buildings, so it feels like a community spot. We’ve been at this for quite a while now. Most days are spent on the phone, trying to navigate the Mumbai traffic for our delivery trucks. It’s a constant puzzle, but we’ve gotten pretty good at it. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything, just a few chairs and some desks piled with papers. It’s where the actual work happens. We talk to contractors who are working on everything from small repairs to bigger builds. We try to be honest about timelines because we know how much of a headache a delay can be. Sometimes we have to deal with the typical Mumbai rain or road closures, and we just do our best to work around it. The staff here is a mix of people who’ve been in the industry for years. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy words; we just want to make sure the cement gets to where it’s going. It’s a tough city to work in, but we like it here. We usually have the radio on in the background to keep the mood light while we work.
