You can find Udly Engineers at D-11 in Anand Nagar, which is part of the M.I.D.C. expansion area. It’s a typical industrial zone where everyone is doing some kind of manufacturing or repair work. Our shop is pretty much like the others on the block—lots of metal scrap, heavy workbenches, and the constant smell of cutting oil. We started here because the space was right for the kind of heavy machines we use every day. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking or revolutionary; we just take on engineering jobs that local people and businesses bring to us. Sometimes it’s a broken part from a factory nearby that needs a quick weld, other times it’s a new project that needs a lot of milling and turning on the lathes. We have a small team of guys who have been doing this for decades. They don't even need blueprints half the time; they just know how things should fit together by looking at the metal. The office is just a tiny corner with a desk and an old rotary fan that squeaks a bit when it's on high. We don't spend much time there anyway. We are usually out on the floor where the real work happens. Anand Nagar is a good spot for us because the suppliers are just a short drive away. We don't have a website or a sales team. People just hear about us and show up at the gate with a problem to solve.
