Tutkuks Chinese Restaurant

You can find Tutkuks Chinese Restaurant at A/12, Tutkuks House, which is on J.R. Mahatre Road in Juhu. We are right opposite Tris Park, so it’s a pretty easy spot to point out to people who aren’t from around this part of Andheri West. Being in Juhu, things are always moving fast and there’s usually a lot of people walking around the streets at all hours. Our building is called Tutkuks House, and we’ve been here for a good amount of time now. We mostly focus on Chinese food because that’s what we know how to do. The kitchen gets really hot in the afternoons when we are prepping, but that’s just part of the job we have chosen. It’s not a very quiet street, with all the traffic and the people heading to the park for a stroll, but we don't mind the noise much anymore. We have a few tables set up for anyone who wants to sit and eat, and we also spend a lot of time packing up orders for people to take home or for delivery. The decor inside is pretty basic; we haven't changed much in years and don't really see a need to. It’s a family-run kind of vibe where everyone helps out with whatever needs doing, whether it’s chopping vegetables or cleaning the front windows. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just open up the shutters every day and get to work. It’s a simple life in a very busy part of Mumbai.
