Tranee Officer

Our office is in the Agaradoot Co-Op Society building, which is B-35 in Vijay Nagar. This is in the Tisgon area of Kalyan East, out in Thane. It is a typical residential society building, so it does not feel like a cold business park at all. There are kids playing in the compound and people hanging out their laundry nearby. Being a trainee officer here means a lot of different things. Mostly, I am looking after the administrative side of things and making sure the files are in the right place. The commute to Kalyan can be a bit of a struggle during peak hours because the trains are always packed. Once you get to the society, though, things are much calmer. We have a small room set up with a desk and some chairs. It is a bit cramped when more than two people are inside, but it works for what we need to do. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to that yet. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing up reports. The neighborhood has everything we need, like a small grocery store and a place to get snacks. It is a straightforward job in a straightforward part of town. We are not trying to be anything big. We just do the work that is assigned to us and head home when the sun goes down.
