Three Blind Mice

We've been running Three Blind Mice from this spot at 33 Colaba on SV Road for a good few years now. You’ll find us right near Hotel Kailash Parbat, which is a landmark most people in the area know. The shop itself isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside. We just have our sign up and the doors open. Inside, it's a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes because we try to keep a lot of stock on the shelves. It’s just a few of us working here, doing the daily tasks like sweeping the floor and helping anyone who walks in. We aren't part of any big chain or anything like that. It’s a local business through and through. Colaba can get very crowded, especially with the tourists and the local traffic, so it gets noisy. We've gotten used to the sound of horns and people talking outside. Some days are slow and we just sit and chat, while other days we are running around trying to get things organized. We don't use any big marketing tactics. People usually find us because they live nearby or they’re staying at the hotel next door. We do all our own heavy lifting and keep our own records in a simple way. It’s an honest way to make a living and we like being part of the neighborhood. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’ve been too busy to get around to it.
