Christmas Gift Box

The Kachpada area in Malad is always busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is arriving for work. Christmas Gift Box is located on the first floor of the Malad Industrial Units Co Op Society. You have to walk up the stairs, and it often feels a bit cramped because of all the boxes we have stacked up. It’s not a fancy office by any means. There are packages everywhere you look. Sometimes the ceiling fans don't quite manage to keep the heat away in May, but we just get on with it. The tea stall right outside the main gate makes a really good ginger chai that keeps us going during the long afternoons. We’ve been at this B-23 address for quite a long time now. Most people find us without much trouble since the society is a well-known landmark in Malad West. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us handling the daily orders. Every morning starts with a list of what needs to be packed and shipped. The floor usually gets covered in bits of tape and cardboard, so we have to sweep it a few times a day. It is mostly manual work, counting out items and making sure the boxes are taped up securely. Malad is always crowded, and the traffic can be a real headache, but once we are inside, we just focus on the task. It is a plain workplace where we spend our hours.
