Our office is tucked into Joulay Chambers over on 4 D Dongri Katrak Development Road, right by the bycross. It is one of those buildings where everyone knows each other, and there is always someone moving something in or out. Down here in Dongri, things move at their own pace, which usually means it’s pretty loud and crowded most of the time. We handle the lorry services, which basically means a lot of phone calls and checking on where the drivers are. The desks are usually covered in trip sheets and old registers because we still like to keep track of things on paper alongside the computer. It gets a bit cramped when a couple of drivers come in at once to settle their accounts, but we make it work. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a good while now, so we know the local roads and the shortcuts around the development area quite well. You can hear the city outside the window all day long, and sometimes the smell of the nearby markets drifts in. It’s a bit of a grit-and-grind type of business, honestly. There isn't much decoration on the walls, just a few calendars and maybe a dusty clock that runs a few minutes fast. We just focus on getting the trucks where they need to go without too much fuss.
