The Westin Mumbai Garden City

The Westin Mumbai Garden City is right in the middle of Goregaon East over in Nava Vadaj. It is a large building and honestly, it stays pretty busy all the time. Mumbai never really sleeps, so we are always on the move here. You have folks coming in for work meetings and others just staying for a night or two while they travel. The lobby usually has a lot of noise with people talking and suitcases rolling across the floor. We do our best to keep things tidy, though with so many people coming through, it is a constant job for the staff. The rooms have big windows and you can see the whole city spread out. At night, all the lights from the traffic look like little dots moving around. It is a bit of a walk to some parts of the building because it is so big. We have a lot of different people working here, from the cleaners to the kitchen crew. Everyone just does their own thing to keep the place functioning. It is not always perfect, sometimes the elevators take a minute when it is crowded, but that is life in a big hotel. We have been a part of the Goregaon neighborhood for quite some time now. Locals use us as a landmark when they are giving directions. We are just a regular spot for travelers and workers in this part of town. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t, just a place to stay.
