The Tata Power Co., Ltd Strategic Engineering Division (Tata Power Sed)

This office is situated at 42 Off Saki Vihar Road in Andheri. It’s a busy part of the city, and the road is always humming with trucks and cars. Here at the Strategic Engineering Division, things are mostly about technical drawings and hardware. It’s an engineering environment, so you’ll see a lot of people in work boots and half-sleeve shirts. The building is functional. We have large tables for looking at big prints and benches for testing out parts. Andheri is a bit of a grind with the commute, but once everyone is in, we just get to work. It isn't a place for small talk. There is usually a lot of serious discussion about how to get a piece of equipment to behave. We’ve been at this location for a while, and the walls are starting to show a bit of age, but it works for us. The air conditioning struggles sometimes when the sun hits the glass, but we manage. We aren't doing fancy office politics here. It’s about the engineering. Sometimes we are here until the streetlights come on, just trying to finish a setup. It’s the kind of place where things actually get built and tested. Saki Vihar Road can be a headache during monsoon, but the tea stall around the corner stays open, which helps. It’s just regular engineering life.
