You can find us at No. 24 Bhandari Street in the Masjid Bunder West area of Mumbai3. If you know Mumbai, you know that Masjid Bunder is one of the busiest trading hubs in the city. The streets are very narrow and they are always filled with people carrying heavy loads or pushing carts. Our building is right in the middle of all that chaos. We do engineering work here, mostly dealing with different kinds of metal parts and machinery components. The shop is old and it has that smell of grease and metal that you find in engineering places. We don't have a lot of space, so everything is stacked up high on shelves. Most of our day is spent helping people find the right part or measuring things out to see if they will fit a specific machine. It’s loud because of the surrounding workshops and the constant shouting from the street. We’ve been at this address for years and we know most of the other shop owners on Bhandari Street. It’s a tough place to work because it’s so crowded, but it’s where all the business happens. We don't bother with fancy displays. We just have our stock and our tools. Sometimes we have to wait for hours just for a delivery truck to reach our door because the traffic is so jammed up. We just take it as it comes and keep the shop running.
