The Style Connexion Salon

The Style Connexion Salon takes up Shop No 1 and 2 on the ground floor of Krypton Tower. We are on New Prabhadevi Road, right near the Prabhadevi Mandir. It’s a good spot because people see us when they go to the temple for morning prayers. I started this place because I wanted to work for myself instead of a boss. Mumbai is a tough place to run a business, but we’ve stayed here at Krypton Tower for a while now. The shop has big glass windows so you can see the traffic outside. It gets a bit dusty because of the road, so we are always cleaning the shelves. We have a few stations for hair and a small area for pedicures. It’s not a huge fancy studio, just a place where we do haircuts and shaving. The staff is mostly local guys. We drink a lot of tea during the afternoon slump. Sometimes the music we play is a bit loud, but the customers don't seem to care much. We don't have a receptionist, so one of us just wipes our hands and answers the phone when it rings. The chairs are getting a bit old but they are still sturdy enough. It’s a practical place for a quick trim or a hair wash. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure people look decent.
