The Loft At Lower Parel

You can find us over at the New Mahalaxmi Silk Mills in Lower Parel. We are right across from Kamala Mills, which is always busy and full of people. Our space is called The Loft, and it’s got that old mill feel with high ceilings and big windows. It’s a bit of a climb to get up here, but the view of the neighborhood is worth it. Lower Parel has changed so much lately, but our building still feels like the old days of the silk mills. We share the area with a lot of different kinds of businesses. Some days it’s quiet, and other days it’s a total madhouse with people moving equipment in and out. We don’t have any polished lobby or a fancy sign out front. You just have to know which door to take. Inside, it’s mostly just an open space where we do our thing. We’ve had to fix the plumbing a couple of times because these old buildings can be temperamental. Sometimes the lift doesn’t work, so we end up taking the stairs quite a bit. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but that’s why we like it here. It’s got more character than those new glass towers nearby. We usually have some tea around four and watch the trains go by. It’s a decent place to spend the day if you don’t mind a bit of dust and history.
