The Hans Hotel

Our place is located in Khar West, right at number 12. It’s a fairly quiet street compared to some of the other parts of Mumbai. We are just a small hotel tucked away there. The building is simple, nothing too modern, but it does the job. We have a few rooms and a small lobby area where people wait. The staff is mostly just a few of us who live nearby. We spend our time checking people in and making sure the laundry is done. Sometimes the plumbing acts up, or a lightbulb goes out, and we just fix it and keep going. It’s not the kind of place you’d see in a magazine. We have old wooden chairs and a desk that’s seen better days. But it’s comfortable enough for people who just need a place to stay for a night or two. Khar West is a nice area to be in. You can walk to the shops or the station without too much trouble. We see all kinds of travelers passing through. Some are here for work, others are just visiting family. We don’t have a big restaurant or anything, just the basics. We keep things low-key. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way. We don't try to be something we are not. It's just number 12, a regular spot on a regular street where you can rest.
