The Craft Factory

The Craft Factory is located in Shanti Apt, specifically room A-502. We are right opposite Atul Tower on Mathuradas Ext. Road in Kandivali West. Since we are in an apartment building, it’s a bit different from a regular factory. It’s more of a busy studio where we get things done. The space is filled with materials, bits of fabric, and tools. We use every inch of the place. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the noise if we are working late, but we try to keep it down. Kandivali is a crowded area, and Mathuradas Road is always buzzing with people and cars. We started this because we liked making things with our hands. It’s grown a bit since then, but it still feels like a small home business. We have a small table where we do all the assembly. The balcony is usually full of stuff drying or waiting to be moved. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know what we’re doing. It gets a bit chaotic during the holiday seasons when everyone wants something made. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It’s a bit cramped, but it works for us. We just focus on making each piece look right before we pack it up to go out. It's a lot of long hours but we enjoy seeing the finished items.
