R.S Wood Hand Crafts

We are located at Plot No.22 in the Vinay Complex on S.P Road in Malad West. It’s a busy part of the city, and finding a parking spot near the shop is always a bit of a challenge. R.S Wood Hand Crafts is tucked away inside the complex, so it’s a bit quieter than the main road, which is nice. I spend most of my mornings checking the wood we bought the day before. We work with our hands mostly, using chisels and hammers to get the shapes right. The lighting in the shop isn't the best, so we often move the benches closer to the entrance to see the finer details of the wood grain. It’s a messy job, and my clothes are usually ruined by the end of the week from glue and sawdust. We’ve been in this complex for a good number of years now. The neighbors know us by the sound of the tapping all day. We make all sorts of things, mostly small pieces that people can use around the house. We don't have a big sales team or anything fancy. It's just us in the workshop making things one at a time. Sometimes the rain leaks in a bit near the back wall during the monsoon, so we have to move everything around to keep the wood dry. It's just a part of running a shop in this area. We take our time with each piece because that's how we've always done it.
