Chaitanya Industries

Chaitanya Industries is over at Plot No-24 in the Bombay Talkies Compound in Malad. If you know the area, you know it’s got a lot of history with the old film studios, but these days it’s mostly just busy sheds and small units like ours. The compound is always buzzing with people moving stuff back and forth. Our spot is tucked in there, and it can get pretty dusty with all the activity outside. We’ve got our machines and our setup, and it’s been that way for quite some time. It’s not the easiest place to find if you’re new to Malad, but once you’re inside the gates, you just follow the main path. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is basically how we mark the time. The ceiling is high, which helps when it gets hot in the afternoons. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. People just walk in, and we talk over the noise. It’s a working space, through and through. Sometimes the trucks blocking the lane make things a bit slow, but we manage. Everyone in the compound knows each other’s business more or less. We just focus on what’s on the floor today and try to get it out by evening. It’s just hard work and a lot of sweat most days, but it’s what we do.
