The Art Studio

The Art Studio is up on the first floor in Mahavir Nagar, which is a busy part of Kandivali West. We are directly opposite the Sankalp Hotel, so it’s pretty easy to find if you are looking for that landmark. It’s usually a bit messy here with paints, brushes, and sketches lying around on every available surface. We didn't want a place that felt like a cold office, so it’s more of a lived-in workspace. There is usually some music playing in the background while we work on different projects. The light coming through the windows is okay in the mornings. We have people coming in and out, some just to look and others to actually sit down and create something. It’s a small studio but it fits what we need. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change a lot. The walls are covered in bits and pieces of art we’ve done or things that caught our eye. It’s not a very formal place. If you come by, you might find us covered in charcoal or ink. We just like having a spot where we can focus on being creative without too much noise from the main road. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, but it’s worth the climb to get away from the street level. It’s our own little corner for making things.
