If you are looking for us, we are right across from the Civil Hospital in Thane West. It’s Shop Number 3 in the Vallab Kripa Building. Being near Talav Palli and Tembi Naka means there is always something going on outside. The noise from the street is constant. We get a lot of people who are just passing by on their way to the hospital or the lake. The shop itself is small, but we pack a lot into it. We have the usual jewelry items, gold and some silver pieces. My brother and I run the place most of the time. We grew up around here, so we know the area like the back of our hand. The building is an older one, so sometimes the power goes out or the pipes make noise, but it’s home for us. We spend a lot of time just talking to the locals who stop in. Sometimes they don't even want to buy anything, they just want to escape the heat for a minute. We don't mind. We do some repairs in the back when it’s quiet. It’s a messy job sometimes with the tools and the tiny parts. We just try to keep the place running and serve the people who walk through the door. Thane is a busy place, and Tembi Naka is right in the middle of it all. Nothing fancy, just a regular shop.
