Thakur Transport Co

Our office is right on Ram Mandir Road in Goregaon West, not too far from the Movie Star cinema. If you've ever been stuck in traffic around here, you probably know the area well. It's a hectic place to run a transport business, but we manage somehow. We have been operating from this spot for quite some years now. Most of our day is spent on the phone or looking at schedules and wooden clipboards. There is always a truck coming in or someone heading out to a delivery. The desk is usually covered in receipts and logbooks because there is a lot of paperwork in this line of work. It’s not a quiet office, that’s for sure. You can hear the horns from the main road all day long. The drivers come in to get their instructions and maybe have a quick tea before they hit the road again. We know the routes around here pretty well by now. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult or a vehicle breaks down, and we just have to figure it out as we go. It is a lot of coordination and making sure the keys are in the right hands at the right time. We don't have a big corporate setup, just a few rooms and some people who have been doing this for a long time. It works for us and we keep things simple every day. There's always something to do.
