Being in Mira Road (East) means we are right in the middle of a lot of residential buildings, so it’s a very local feel here at Thakur Institute Of Career Advancement. Our office is inside a building that has families living all around us, so you might hear kids playing or someone cooking while we are in the middle of a session. We focus on helping people figure out what to do next with their jobs or education. It’s not a huge campus with a gate; it’s more like a converted space that we’ve filled with chairs and a few computers. People come in from Thane or the nearby suburbs looking for some direction, and we sit down and go through their options. The Mira-Bhayandar Road is always jammed with traffic, so we are used to people arriving a bit late and looking stressed. We just offer them a seat and get started.
