Our place is in the Top Syringe Compound, right off the Western Express Highway in Mira Road. We are situated in Pandurang Wadi, specifically behind the Samrat Hotel. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy the W.E. Highway gets at all hours. We can hear the traffic from our workshop constantly. It is a large compound and we have a good amount of space for our instruments and manufacturing work. The building is practical rather than pretty. It has high ceilings and big doors so we can move large items around. We have a lot of people working here, mostly focusing on the assembly and testing of different units. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, but the fans keep the air moving. We aren't a corporate office with fancy rugs and glass walls. It is a factory environment where people are busy with their hands. Most of us have been here for years and we know the routine by heart. We take our breaks in the shade of the building when the sun is too much. Being behind the Samrat Hotel makes it easy for people to find us when they are coming from the highway. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs to be done. It is a solid, hardworking atmosphere every single day of the week. There is always something to fix or a shipment to get ready for the trucks.
