Tb Lab J J Hospital

Tucked away inside the massive complex of J J Hospital in Mumbai, you’ll find our Tb Lab. Mumbai is a city that never stops, and this hospital is exactly the same way. It’s like a city within a city. Our lab isn’t very big, and it’s always filled with the hum of machines and the smell of chemicals. We spend our days looking at slides and processing samples that come in from all over the building. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll see fancy decorations or comfortable lounges. Every square inch of space is used for equipment or storage for files. It’s crowded, and sometimes it gets a bit loud with everyone talking at once, but that’s just how it is here. We aren't out in the front where the patients are; we are the ones in the back doing the technical work. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and double-checking numbers. We don’t have a big fancy sign outside, just a door in a long hallway. The work we do is repetitive, but it’s important for the doctors to know what they are dealing with. We’ve been part of the J J Hospital system for a long time, and we’ve seen the way things have changed over the years. It’s a busy, cramped, and essential part of the building, and we just keep the tests running as fast as we can every day.
