Tata Memorial Hospital

This location is a bit different because it is tucked away inside the Vijay-Vihar CHS over in Chembur. We are at 31-c in the TMC staff quarters, so it feels more like a neighborhood than a workplace sometimes. You have to walk through the main gates of the housing society to find us. It is a lot quieter here than the main hospital in Parel, which everyone appreciates. The trees around the quarters give some shade, but the buildings are getting older now. We deal with a lot of the residential stuff here, making sure the staff living on site are sorted out. Sometimes the plumbing in the quarters acts up, or we have to figure out parking spaces because the society gets crowded with cars. It is a walk from the main road, so you do not get the city noise as much. People living here are mostly used to the routine of going back and forth to the hospital. We see the same faces every morning at the gate. It is a mix of families and people just starting their jobs. The grocery shops nearby know most of us by name. It is not a shiny new office, just a bunch of rooms where we handle the day-to-day things for the people who work at the hospital. It feels like a small village inside a big city, honestly, and we just keep it running.
