Tata Memorial Hospital

The building here on E. Borges Road in Parel East is always busy, honestly. You step outside and the street is packed with people coming from the station or getting off buses. We spend a lot of time just managing the flow of folks walking through the doors. It is an old part of Mumbai, so the roads are narrow and sometimes the noise from the traffic gets a bit much, especially during the monsoon when everything feels damp. Our team stays here late most nights. There is a small tea stall just down the road where we usually go when we get a break, which is not often. Most of us have worked here for years and we know the shortcuts through the corridors by heart now. It is not a fancy place, just a lot of concrete and medicine smells. Some of the windows do not close right, but nobody really has time to worry about that. We just focus on the folders and the people waiting in the hallways. Parel has changed a lot with all the new tall buildings coming up around us, but this spot stays pretty much the same. It is a bit worn out around the edges but it keeps going. We see people from all over the country standing in line every day. It gets tiring but this is just how life is on this road.
