Head And Neck Cancer Clinic

This clinic is tucked away on the ground floor of the Byculla Municipal School Building. Being on N M Joshi Marg, we are right in the middle of everything in Byculla West. You can hear the trains and the traffic from the S Bridge nearby almost all day long. It is a bit of a maze finding the entrance if you have not been here before, but once you are in, it is a lot quieter. The building itself is old, with those high ceilings and thick walls that keep it a bit cooler. We spend our time dealing with some pretty serious stuff here, so the mood is usually quiet. The staff mostly keeps to themselves, focused on the patients coming through the door. We have some wooden chairs in the waiting area that have been there for years. It is not the most modern setup you will ever see, but it is functional for what we need. Sometimes the school kids outside make a lot of noise during their break, which reminds us there is a whole world moving along outside. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It is an important spot for the neighborhood. We do not have much in the way of fancy decorations, just some posters on the walls and the necessary medical equipment. It feels like a real part of the Byculla community, being right there in the school building. We are just here every day, doing our bit for the people.
