Tata Memmorial Hospital

We are located right on VN Purav Marg, directly across from the Deonar bus depot. It’s a loud place to be, what with the buses constantly pulling in and out and the conductors shouting. Tata Memmorial Hospital has been at this spot for a long time. You can smell the exhaust fumes sometimes if the wind is wrong, but you get used to it. The entrance is always busy with people coming off the buses and looking for the right gate. We spend a lot of time giving directions because the address can be a bit confusing for folks from out of town. Inside, the floors are worn down from so many feet walking over them over the years. We keep the chairs lined up, but they always end up in a mess by noon. It’s a practical sort of place. We don't have any of those fancy waiting rooms with television screens. Just a few fans and some old wooden benches. We usually eat our lunch quickly because there is always something that needs doing. It’s a tough location because of the traffic, but it’s easy for people to find us. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, regardless of the noise outside. It’s not always easy, but it’s the job we chose. We’re just regular people trying to keep things running smoothly in a very busy part of the city and we take it one day at a time.
