Tata Memorial Hospital

Tata Memorial Hospital here in Koldongari is tucked away near Jeevan Vikas Hospital, specifically at No. 3/6 Khoja Chawl. It’s not like those giant glass buildings you see in the magazines. We are right in the middle of a chawl, so you’ve got the local life happening all around us. You hear the sounds of neighbors cooking, kids playing in the lanes, and the occasional scooter zooming past. It’s a very local feel. The space we have is quite small, and we have to be careful about how we organize everything. Sometimes things get a bit cramped when too many people show up at once. We know most of the people living around here by name. It’s a bit of a squeeze to get through the narrow entrance, but we’ve managed for years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan has a bit of a wobble, but it works well enough. We don't bother with fancy signs or receptionists in suits. It’s just us, sitting at our desks and helping whoever walks in from the street. Being near another hospital means there are always people walking back and forth between the two. We just try to stay useful to the neighborhood. It’s a modest place, but it’s ours, and we’ve been part of this community's daily life for as long as I can remember. We just keep our heads down and do the work that's needed.
