Ramadeep Karlaya

We are situated in Girgaon, right at the Bhokri Phata on Nagar Road. Ramadeep Karlaya is a place that many locals know well. It’s mostly used for gatherings and local functions. Being on Nagar Road means we are easy to find, which is good because people are often coming here for the first time for a wedding or a meeting. The building is simple and doesn't have a lot of extra decorations. We spend a lot of our time just cleaning up after one event and getting ready for the next one. The floor needs a lot of sweeping, and the chairs always need to be straightened out. Sometimes the weather is so hot that everyone crowds around the fans, and we have to make sure they are all working right. I live nearby, so I’m usually the one who opens the doors in the morning. It’s a quiet life most of the time, except when there’s a big celebration going on. The neighborhood of Girgaon has changed a lot over the years, but our corner at Bhokri Phata stays pretty much the same. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just talk to the people who come by and help them with whatever they need for their event. It's a lot of manual work, moving tables and checking the lights, but it’s a good way to be part of the community. We like staying busy with the local crowd.
