The workshop is located in Gala No 106. It’s part of the Diamond Industrial area in Dahisar. It’s quite a way out, near Road No 5. You can hear the big trucks at the Dahisar toll naka all day and night. It’s a loud, busy industrial place. We do art stuff here, but it feels more like manual labor most days. There is a lot of heavy framing and lifting involved. We have saws, hammers, and a lot of glass. The floor is usually covered in scraps of wood or small splashes of paint. It’s not like a gallery where you walk around in silence. It’s a place where things are actually made by hand. I’ve been working here for years. The neighbors are mostly other workshops making metal parts or plastic things. We all know each other and say hello. Sometimes we borrow tools from the guy next door. It’s very hot in the summer because of the tin roof over our heads. We have big fans, but they just move the warm air around the room. We don't have any kind of marketing budget. Most people find us because someone else told them we do a decent job with their frames. I spend my days measuring things and cutting wood. My hands are always a bit rough from the work. We just make sure the pieces look nice for the customers. It's a practical business in a busy estate.
