Take A Break Indian Grill

Mumbai is a city that never really lets you sit still, but here in Chembur East, we try to keep things a bit grounded. We are located in Asha Compound, right on the Sion Trombay road, which is always busy with cars and people rushing to get somewhere else. Being next to RK Studio means there’s always something happening nearby, though we just stay focused on our little spot. It’s a simple setup. We started this because we wanted a place where people could just stop for a bit. The grill gets hot, the kitchen stays busy, and the air smells like spices and smoke most of the time. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations or a big corporate team running things. It’s just us and a few staff members who have been around for years. Sometimes the orders get backed up when the evening rush hits, but we manage. People from the neighborhood come in after work, looking a bit tired, and we just serve them what they need. It’s not about being the most famous place in Mumbai. We just want to make sure the food is ready and the place is open when people are hungry. Chembur has changed a lot over the years, but Asha Compound feels like home to us. We’re just part of the daily rhythm of Palton Road, nothing more, nothing less.
