Taj Lands End Ltd.

Our office is located over at R.S.No.416 and 417 in Mumbai. It’s part of a bigger setup that deals with a lot of the administrative side of things for the property. We are right by the coast so you can usually smell the salt in the air when you step outside. The building is quite large and it takes a while to get to know all the hallways and where different departments sit. We spend a lot of time dealing with files and spreadsheets. It’s not the most exciting work but it has to be done to keep everything running. There is a lot of movement throughout the day with people coming in for meetings or staff heading out for their breaks. We have a canteen where most of us eat lunch and it’s usually the loudest part of the day. The windows look out over the nearby areas and you can see the city stretching out from here. We try to keep our workspace organized but with so much going on it gets a bit messy sometimes. The air conditioning is always running because it gets hot in this part of Mumbai. The job is steady. We’ve been here for a while and most of the staff have a routine they stick to. It’s a professional environment but we still talk about our families and what’s happening in the news while we work. It’s just a normal workplace with a lot of history.
