We’ve been running Symatic Engg Pvt Ltd out of Mumbai for some time now. Our office is in the 400 014 zip code area, which puts us right in the thick of things in Maharashtra. Mumbai is a busy place to do any kind of engineering work but we’ve managed to find our own rhythm here. It’s noisy outside on the streets but inside we’re usually just looking at specs or talking through a project. We don’t have a big front desk or anyone in a suit waiting to greet you. Usually, you’ll just find one of us working on a laptop or checking some paper documents. It’s a bit cramped like most places in this part of town but we make the most of the space we have. We do a lot of the back-end engineering stuff that keeps things ticking along for our clients. There’s always something to be done and the phone rings more than we’d like sometimes. It’s just how it goes when you’re based in the city. We’ve got a good handle on the local requirements and how things move around here. We aren't interested in being the biggest name in Mumbai. We just want to finish our work and go home knowing we did it right. It’s a simple life even if the city around us is fast. We’ve stayed here because it makes sense for the work we do every day. We hope to keep doing it for a long time.
