Sydenham College Of Commerce & Economics has been on B Road in Mumbai for a very long time. We are located on the second floor of the building here in the 400020 area. It’s a very central spot, right near the sea and the big railway stations. The building is old and has a lot of history to it. You can feel that history in the high ceilings and the way the stairs are worn down from years of use. We don't try to make it look like a modern glass office or anything like that. It’s a place of commerce and economics, so things stay pretty serious most of the time. Students come from all over Mumbai, taking the local trains for hours to get here every day. It gets very crowded in the halls between lectures when everyone is moving at once. The staff here is used to the fast pace of city life and the constant noise. We handle a lot of paperwork and keep the library going for the researchers. There’s always a bit of a breeze coming off the ocean nearby, which helps with the Mumbai heat in the afternoons. We don't use much marketing because people already know the name. It’s just a solid, traditional place to study. People come here to work hard and get their degrees. We’re just the people who keep the building running and the classes on schedule.
