Our place is located right on Sion Trombay Road in Chembur East. You can find Surana Sethia Hospital Research Centre pretty easily because we are right near the BPCL petrol pump in the Suman Nagar area. It’s a large building and there is always something going on. Between the hospital side and the research work, the staff is usually running back and forth. The traffic outside is almost never-ending, which is just how it is in this part of Mumbai. Inside, we try to keep things organized, though it gets a bit hectic when a lot of people show up at once for their appointments. We have been in Chembur for a good while and the locals know us as a landmark. The research part of what we do means there are often people in white coats looking at data or doing tests in the quieter sections of the building. It’s a mix of a regular hospital feel and a place where people are trying to figure things out. We don’t really do anything flashy. The walls might need a fresh coat of paint here and there, but we focus more on the patients and the work at hand. Most of us have worked here for years and we know the neighborhood inside and out. It’s a lot of hard work but it’s what we do.
