Surana Hospital & Research Center

Our place is tucked away at the very end of Shanker Lane, right where Yank Road meets it. It’s a bit of a walk from the main street, so things stay a little quieter around here than you’d expect. We spend most of our mornings just getting the paperwork sorted and making sure the lobby looks decent. The hospital has been here for years, and the walls have that old paint color that stays the same no matter how many times we wipe them down. You can see the traffic moving far off on the main road, but mostly we just hear the occasional car turning around at the end of the lane. We have some research rooms in the back where things are usually piled high with folders and old charts. It’s not a very fancy setup, but it’s where we do our work every day. The staff usually brings lunch from home and we eat in the small breakroom near the back exit. Sometimes the power flickers when the wind picks up, but we just keep going with what we're doing. It’s a steady kind of life here at the end of Yank Road. We know the neighbors by their cars and the time they leave for work. The building is solid and does its job, even if the stairs are a bit steep for some people.
