Supriya Chemicals

Our place is in Udyog Bhavan, specifically units 207 and 208 on Sonalwala Road in Goregaon East. It's a typical industrial building. You can usually hear the machines running in the other units when you walk down the hall. We’ve been here for quite some time now. Dealing with chemicals means we have to be careful with how we store things and keep our records straight. The office isn't anything special to look at. We have our desks and some storage space for samples. It’s a bit cramped sometimes because of all the containers and paperwork we have to keep. We get a lot of deliveries throughout the week. The staff here is small, just a few of us making sure orders go out correctly. We spend a lot of our time on the phone with suppliers or checking on inventory in the back. Goregaon East is a busy area, so getting in and out can be a hassle during peak hours. We usually just hunker down and get through the list of things to do. It’s steady work. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big lobby. We just focus on the chemical trade and making sure our regulars get what they need. It’s what we know how to do. Sometimes the smells from the different units get a bit strong, but you get used to it after a week or two. It's just life in Udyog Bhavan.
