Our place is Gala Number 6 A on Thane Street, right in the Masjid area. If you are coming off Simpoli Road, we are near Gadiyal Godi. It’s a busy part of the city, especially with all the transport and cargo moving through these narrow streets. Our gala is usually full of boxes and crates waiting to be moved. It isn't a quiet office; there is always the sound of tape dispensers and heavy lifting. We spend a lot of our time checking schedules and making sure the trucks are loaded correctly. Since we are near the godowns, there is a lot of traffic, and sometimes things get delayed just because of the sheer number of vehicles on the road. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while and we know most of the other guys working in the nearby galas. It’s a very hands-on job. You have to be okay with a bit of dirt and a lot of hard work. We don't have any corporate slogans or anything like that. We just focus on getting the cargo from one point to another without too much trouble. Every morning starts with a list of what needs to go out, and we stay until the last delivery is sorted. It is a practical business for a practical part of town. Masjid is always hectic, but we have gotten used to the pace over the years.
