Our place is over at B/1 in the Neelam Centre on S.K. Ahire Marg. If you know the area, you know the building. It’s one of those spots where there is always something happening. We spend most of our time looking at screens or checking how the ink is sitting on the paper. It gets pretty loud when the printers are all running at once. The air in the office always has that faint smell of chemicals and fresh paper, which you just get used to after a week. We have been here at Sunstar Graphics for a while now. It’s not a huge office, just enough room for the gear and a few desks. Sometimes the delivery guys struggle with the parking around S.K. Ahire Marg, but that’s just Mumbai for you. We don’t have a fancy reception area. Usually, you just walk in and someone is busy with a layout or fixing a paper jam. It’s a lot of staring at proofs and making sure the colors aren’t looking weird. We don’t do the whole corporate suit thing. Most of us are in jeans because things can get messy. We just try to keep the machines from breaking down and get the boxes out the door. It’s a lot of repetitive work, honestly. Checking one sheet, then the next, making sure everything is lined up. It keeps us busy enough, and we don't really have time for anything more complicated than that.
