Sumit Transport Service

We have a couple of trucks and we stay fairly busy over on Sandhut Road at 225-A. We started out with just one old vehicle several years back. Now we have a little more room in the yard to park the bigger ones. Transport work is mostly about timing and hoping the roads are clear, which usually they aren't around here. We spend a lot of our time on the phone checking where the drivers have reached and if the loads are okay. It’s greasy work sometimes and the office is pretty simple. We just have a few chairs and a big paper calendar on the wall where we mark all the routes down in pen. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. People just call the landline or stop by the gate when they need something moved to the next town. My nephew helps me with the accounting books on the weekends when he isn't in school. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the next job to come in. The yard gets really muddy when it rains hard, but we keep the trucks moving anyway because the work doesn't stop. It’s just us doing the daily hauls for the local folks. We’ve lived around this area our whole lives so we know all the shortcuts and back roads. If the gate is closed, we’re probably out on a long delivery. You can just leave a message or come back.
