Our place is located in Kandivli East, right on Akurli Road and not too far from the Big Bazar. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai, so there’s always a lot of traffic and people moving around outside. We’ve been operating here for a long time, focusing on pigments. The office and the workspace are pretty crowded with samples and containers. It’s not the kind of place you’d come to for a fancy meeting, but it’s where the real work happens. We spend our days dealing with colors and different materials. It’s a hands-on kind of job. Sometimes the air smells a bit like the materials we work with, but we don’t mind it much. It’s a small operation in terms of the office staff, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. We don't have a big corporate structure. If something needs to be moved or a client needs a quick answer, we just do it ourselves. The neighborhood has changed a lot, with more shops and buildings coming up, but we’ve stayed put here. We just try to keep our heads down and get the orders out on time. It’s a lot of work, and it isn't always clean, but it's what we know how to do. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized among all the drums and bags of pigment.
