Sub SS N More Restaurant

We are over in Kandivali East, right across from the Bank of Baroda. It is a pretty straightforward spot for a restaurant. We have been in this area for a bit, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a lot. Sub SS N More is a small operation. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that; it’s just the kitchen and a few tables for people to sit at. Most of our day is spent getting the bread and the vegetables ready. Mumbai is a fast city, so people usually want their food quickly so they can get back to work or catch a train. We try to keep up with that pace without making too many mistakes. The staff here are mostly local guys who live nearby. We share a lot of laughs in the back, but when the bank across the street lets out for lunch, it gets very serious very fast. The floor needs constant sweeping because of the dust from the street, but we try to keep it looking decent. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just make subs and a few other things that people seem to like. It is a lot of hard work and long hours on our feet, but it feels good when the day is done and we can finally close up the shutters. We are just a regular Kandivali business.
