We are based on the 9th floor of the Universal Majestic building in Chembur West. It is a tall building that stands out quite a bit from the smaller houses around P.L. Lokhande Marg. Being up on the 9th floor gives us a pretty good view of the local area, especially the railway tracks and the highway. On clear days, you can see quite far across the suburbs. The office itself is quite large compared to some of the other places we’ve been. We have rows of desks and a small area where we keep our bags and tiffin boxes. The air conditioning is always running because the sun hits the windows directly in the afternoon, making it quite hot. We have a lot of people coming in for meetings, so the elevators are usually packed during the morning rush. The security guards at the gate are friendly once they get to know your face. It is a bit of a walk from the station, so most of us take an auto-rickshaw to get here. Sterling And Wilson Ltd has a lot of different departments, so there is always a lot of movement between the desks. It is a functional space without any unnecessary frills. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at drawings on the big tables. It is just a regular office life in a busy part of Chembur.
