You can find us at Shop No 8 inside the Shopper’S Paradise building in Mulund East. It is a bit of a funny name for the place because it is mostly just small service shops like ours. We spend our time surrounded by engines, tires, and the smell of petrol. Hebbal is not too far away, which helps when we need to go and get specific parts that we don’t have in stock. The shop is quite small, so we have to keep everything very organized on the shelves. There are tools everywhere, and I usually have a rag in my pocket for the oil spills. People from the neighborhood bring their cars and bikes here when something starts making a weird noise. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with coffee, just a bench outside where people sit and chat while we look under the hood. The summer heat makes the metal roof of the shop quite hot, so we keep the big fans running all day long. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. My clothes are always covered in stains, but that is part of the job. We have been in this spot for a while now and we know which cars belong to which neighbor just by the sound of the engine. It’s a good community here in Mulund and we just keep our heads down and work.
