You’ll find Sri Ram Transport Company Limited on the 7th floor of Swastik Chamber. We’re over in Chembur, specifically near the Ratna Sagar landmark. Being up on the seventh floor gives us a bit of a view of the surrounding rooftops, which is a nice change from being down on the street level. The office is pretty much what you’d expect for a transport company. There are logs on the desks and the phones never seem to stop ringing for long. It’s a lot of coordinating and making sure everything is where it needs to be. The building is usually quite busy with people coming and going from different offices. We’ve got our desks set up in a way that lets us talk to each other easily because things move fast in this business. It’s not a fancy place with a view of the ocean, but it’s where we get things sorted. Chembur is a good base for us. We’ve been here long enough that the security guards and the lift operators know us by name. The commute can be a bit of a grind, but once we’re up here in the office, we just get into the rhythm of the work. We usually have a lot of paperwork piled up because of all the logistics involved. It’s a real, working office where people are actually doing things, not just sitting around looking for something to do.
